Hello! Welcome to the 'Perspective Tour'

Perspective Tour
2023
This project visualizes the gaze and movements of people at tourist sites, exploring the dynamics between space, the individuals occupying it, and the relationships among people in the same space.
To achieve this goal, I utilized archived CCTV footage, which serves as an objective record of people's trajectories. Collecting footage from various tourist locations, I captured scenes from multiple perspectives and analyzed movement patterns and gaze directions at each moment.
To represent the direction of movement and trajectories, I categorized them using colors and shapes. In order to estimate the gaze direction of subjects in low-resolution CCTV footage, I partially employed an AI image upscaling program.
The accumulation of movement trajectories resulted in visually compelling visuals. Additionally, I believe the visual representation of people's gazes and spatial occupancy during movement holds significant value as data assets.
Selecting Target Objects

The following describes the process of conducting dynamic analysis using CCTV footage from a tourist site over time.Throughout this procedure, a distinctive subject is identified through a blue-highlighted rectangle. This rectangle signifies either a tourist or a specific individual, and their movement trajectory is visually illustrated by a yellow pathway. Furthermore, the subject's gaze is depicted with a dashed arrow, visually indicating the direction they are focusing on.
The visual information conveyed by the colors and arrows outlined in this process will highlight the interactions and movements of individuals within the tourist site.
Tracking and Visualization of Paths

As a result, the generated data allows for a detailed understanding of interactions among the numerous crowds at tourist sites. The analysis of individual people's movement patterns and gaze directions enables a visual exploration of diverse interactions within the tourist destination.
The overlap between layers integrates observed individual movement patterns, providing a clear insight into the overall flow and behavioral patterns of the population. The movement paths of individual figures highlighted in blue, along with their gaze directions, are visually represented by yellow pathways and dashed arrows, respectively. This conveys how individuals truly interact within the space, offering a clear depiction.
