Capturing the Mixed Nature: Images from the Suburban New City

The project 'District A' is a collection of images from the suburban industrial factory complex known as 'Techno Valley' and its surrounding new city. 'District A' refers to the inevitable and repetitive emergence of non-specific places in the process of urban expansion.

My studio was located in 'Techno Valley,' often referred to as an apartment-style factory. These factories are designed with stacked building-like structures to maximize efficiency.
This industrial complex, resembling a smooth-textured, massive spaceship, found its place in the suburban new city as urban expansion pushed it away from the city center. Around this factory complex, there are also glimpses of various facets of urban expansion.

Still, the old-fashioned factory equipment and workers coexist with the modernist factory complex. Next to them, a stream flows, new subway stations remain unopened, and construction of new apartments is in progress. The atmosphere is a unique blend of the old and the new, the calm and the bustling, characteristic of suburban urban expansion.

Through this work, I aimed to capture the unique mixed nature of spaces created by the ongoing development around 'Techno Valley' as part of the city's expansion.
